Frances Dredge

With a successful career in communications, publishing and business, working in senior positions for companies such as Harpers and Dow Jones, Frances Dredge set up Purple Pear over 10 years ago with the aim of fulfilling organisational need for external consultancy and delivery mechanisms in training, communications and coaching.

Frances has a reputation for developing creative solutions and driving them through from concept to delivery: “We’re passionate about what we do and, with our experience and flair, our aim is supply each of our customers with a personalised service that they can trust and depend on to meet their expectations,” she says. “We thoroughly enjoy our work and I think this translates into the quality of what we produce. If it ever becomes just a process to be finished, it’ll be time to do something else!”

Favourite business tip:

Forget about the money. Find out what you love to do and the money will follow. (variation on an Alan Watts philosophy)

Favourite quote:

“I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read on the train.” (Oscar Wild)

Interested in:

Everything except cloves (yuch…the devil’s food)

Ambition:

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”
(Hunter S. Thompson)
